COVID-19 Update: 2nd Doses for COVID-19 Vaccination to Resume

On 31st August 2021, The Ministry of Health received 240 AstraZeneca vaccine doses via the United Kingdom Government. Persons who are scheduled to receive their 2nd dose vaccinations in September are prioritized for receiving these doses. COVID-19 vaccinations will resume at the Welches Polyclinic starting from September 9th and scheduled dates thereafter. Due to social distancing requirements, persons will be contacted to indicate the scheduled time to receive their vaccination.

If you missed your previously scheduled second dose date, and are now interested in receiving your second dose, persons are urged to contact the Ministry of Health to indicate your interest.

The Government of Anguilla continues its efforts to procure vaccination for children age 13-17 years old. The Ministry of Health encourages parents to register their interest in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine through the circulating Google Form which is also available at beatcovid19.ai and the Ministry’s Facebook page.

The Ministry of Health also encourages persons who are interested in getting their first dose of the vaccine to register in the beatcovid19.ai website. This will be used to gauge interest on this level with the view to accessing additional vaccines if necessary.

The Ministry of Health is also reminding persons to collect their QR coded plastic vaccination cards in a timely manner. Persons may collect their card at the Central Electoral Office from 9am to 2pm Mondays to Fridays. However, from the week of September 13th, vaccination card collection will only be available from 9am to 2pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Person who have been vaccinated and experience any side effects or adverse reactions are encouraged to report this at 235-4357 that is 235- HELP.
