Passenger Protocols for Repatriation Flights

On behalf of the Governor’s Office, the Government of Anguilla, its Ministries and Departments, the Board of Directors, management and staff of the Anguilla Air and Sea Ports Authority (AASPA) wish to advise the general public, especially the travelers on the repatriation flight (Canadian nationals and residents) on Saturday, 4 April 2020, respectively, via VI Airlink (as organized through Anguilla Air Services) to Barbados, of the passenger protocols to accommodate this flight.

With respect to public safety amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and adherence to the applicable aviation regulatory mandates that must be upheld, please note the following guidelines:

  1. Passengers must still adhere to the basic international safety standards for aviation travel:
    1. The 3-1-1 Rule for liquids in carry-on bags.
    2. No weapons, no sharp objects, no illegal or illicit goods.
  2. Passengers should present themselves 2 hours before their scheduled departures:
    1. See flights schedule below.
  3. Passengers should not allow non-traveling members of their party to remain with them on the Airport while awaiting their flight:
    1. Non-travelers will be escorted away from the premises by Officers of the Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF).
  4. Passengers are encouraged to show up to the Airport for their scheduled flight only, in keeping with 2 above, so as to avoid overcrowding and loitering at the terminal.
  5. Airport Security Officers and RAPF Officers will direct passengers to special departure areas that support social distancing.
  6. Airport Security Officers and RAPF Officers will control and direct traffic (drop offs) and parking areas.

The AASPA continues to thank the Governor’s Office, the Government of Anguilla, its Ministries and Departments and the general public for their diligence and assistance. The safety and security of the traveling public remain of paramount importance to the AASPA.

BVI-AXA 0730-0800 – Arrival to Anguilla
AXA-BGI 0830-1030 – Departure from Anguilla

As further information becomes available relative to these and any other flights, the public shall be updated accordingly.
