The Ministry of Health is aware of persons intending to introduce various COVID-19 test kits in Anguilla.

The Ministry hereby warns the general public to be extremely careful and vigilant against the use of unauthorized, unvalidated test kits for the COVID-19 virus. Unvalidated tests pose a risk of wrong, conflicting or inconsistent results including false positives and false negatives.

False negatives are particularly dangerous because the virus may be spread by persons when critical measures including strict isolation and contact tracing are not implemented based on a falsely negative result.

The Ministry of Health is the only entity in Anguilla authorized to provide testing according to approved international protocols utilizing validated test kits. This is done, in collaboration with the Caribbean Public Health Agency, Public Health England and in strict compliance with guidance and recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Persons with any questions, including those with concerns that they may have been exposed to COVID-19, should call the Ministry’s hotlines at 476-7627, that is 476 SOAP or 584-4263, that is 584-HAND.

Thank you for your continued support as we all do our part to #beatcovid19.
