Starting on Friday 11 June, the plastic QR encoded photo vaccination cards will be rolled out as a replacement for the blue vaccination card. The replacement card will capture the same information written on the blue card, but in a computer-readable format with your photograph as an added feature.

When can I get the plastic card?

Depending on when you received your second dose, you will be eligible to receive the replacement plastic card after a certain date. The following chart shows when you are eligible:

Where do I go to get the card?

The cards will be issued at the Electoral Office (across from the Police Station), Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 am – 2 pm.

What do I need to bring with me?

Once you confirm the dates you are eligible to receive your replacement card, you will need a photo ID e.g. passport, and your blue vaccination card (if received already) to the Electoral Office.

Is it essential to have the plastic replacement card to travel?

No, the blue card with the Ministry of Health stamp is a verified certificate and has all the information you may need to show proof of vaccination including access to your digital record

I am travelling before the date I am eligible to receive my replacement card. Can I get it before I travel?

The plastic card is a replacement card – the blue card with the Ministry of Health stamp is a verified certificate and has all the information you may need to show proof of vaccination. If you still feel you would like the plastic card before you travel and your travel date is before your scheduled eligibility date, there will be a separate line at the Electoral office to accommodate persons with proof of paid travel reservations from 2-3 pm daily. You will need to bring your proof of paid travel reservations with you.
